1000 acres initiative
truth, accountability, and awakening

“We are all Indigenous to Earth. Our mission is to stand in truth, hold the record of what happened here, and protect the stories of the people who lived it. This initiative exists to restore accountability, preserve memory, and awaken a community that refuses to be erased.”
We are the people who lived this, witnessed it, and refused to let the truth be buried. This space exists to protect the record, honor lived experience, and ensure that what happened here is never erased again.

who we are
We are a community shaped by what we endured and united by a commitment to truth. Our lived experience, our evidence, and our voices form the foundation of this initiative.
The 2022 Warning: East County Outreach Was Never Funded
In 2022, East County officials acknowledged that the outreach program responsible for serving the Sandy River Delta and surrounding areas had no stable funding, no formal documentation, and no state or federal support. The program operated on temporary agreements and inconsistent resources, leaving outreach workers overwhelmed and residents without reliable services. This failure set the stage for the breakdown that followed — including the 2025 sweep.
“There was no dedicated funding stream for East County outreach, and no formal structure to support long‑term engagement.” (Quoted from the 2022 article — this is within fair‑use limits.)
